About the project

The project ‘Development of tourist information system for cross-border eco-tourism in the Euroregion Bug’ is co-funded by the European Union within the framework of the Cross-border Co-operation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine.

Total budget: 464 675.00 EUR

Co-funding: 418 207.00 EUR

Project objective: Development of a cross-border tourist infrastructure network and improving the tourist attractiveness of Polesie in the Lubelskie Voivodship, the Brest Oblast and the Volyn Oblast.

PARTNERSHIP:

MAIN ACTIONS IN THE PROJECT:

  • Creation of documents referring to cross-border Polesie: tourist audit, development and promotion strategy, analysis of legal aspects of tourism development in the three countries, unified visual identification system of the brand Polesie;
  • Creation of three tourist clusters: the Brest Cluster, the Volyn Cluster and the Cross-border Cluster;
  • Creation and marking of walking and bicycle tourist routes in the cross-border area of Polesie ;
  • Establishing and providing with equipment of cross-border information centres in Polesie (Urszulin, Szack, Lubieszów, Kosów, Tomaszówka);
  • Publication of a cross-border tourist map of Polesie;
  • Organisation of international tourism conferences;
  • Organisation of a study tour and a press tour into cross-border Polesie;
  • Organisation of stalls and promotion of Polesie during international fairs and selected cultural events held in the Lubelskie Voivodship, the Brest Oblast and the Volyn Oblast.
